Montgenèvre Ski Resort
The place we call home. This resort is picture-postcard pretty. With its traditional Alpine architecture, tree-lined slopes and outstanding views, it's no wonder that those who visit want to stay.
Situated on the French/Italian border, Montgenèvre is the Southern-most door into the vast ski area that is the Milky Way. The high altitude, the variety of skiing available and the late season combine to make this a great all-round ski resort. The village is small, but beautifully formed. This resort is served by our Turin flights where transfer times are around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants to keep even the most hardened party animal satisfied and the good news is, they are all within a stone's throw of each other. It's hard not to wax lyrical about Montgenèvre and we feel it's a must for those that have missed out so far.
Ski Facts
Superb nursery slopes and the many green and blue runs ensure beginners and intermediates are well catered for, whilst offering the advanced skier varied and challenging terrain via the Milky Way.
The run from Eagle's Rock (Rocher de l'Aigle) should not be missed. The variety of skiing available in Montgenèvre makes it the perfect resort for mixed ability groups. It is ideal for anyone who wants to stay close to the slopes and who appreciates good local hospitality.
Montgenèvre / Monts de la Lune lift pass covers Montgenèvre, Clavière and Cesana. The pass works via a key-card so you don't need to provide a photograph. An upgrade to the standard pass, which will cover the entire Milky Way ski area, can be purchased on a daily basis at an approximate cost of €22.00.
There is a dedicated snowboard park with a cable tow giving access to a quarterpipe, pro-jump and a gap. There are regular board tests and a weekly contest.
