The Company
Skitopia is a trading name of TJM Travel Ltd and now incorporates the Handmade Holidays Snow Programme. We are one of the UK's leading independent ski holiday operators specialising in all-inclusive ski holidays to the French Alps and beyond.

Hotel Manager
Responsibilities
- General Management
- Manage and oversee all departments of the Hotel
- Good level of French
- Lead a team of approx 15 people
- Good Communication skills with staff and clients is essential
- Responsible for all bar accounts/orders/stock levels
- Ensure all health and safety aspects are in place
- Quality control - essential for all departments
- Accounts - Daily/weekly basis
- Petty cash, bar accounts, Food, Laundry, Hotel Budgets
- Excellent team playing skills, able to take on any role in the hotel if needed
- Oversee in-resort finance and administration associated with in-resort sales
- Meet and greet guests on arrival at the Hotel Deal with guest's/staff queries and problems
- Drive company vehicles

Head Chef
Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen and supervise staff
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen, and ensure staff adhere to standards and procedures
- Plan and cook evening meals for guests, with appropriate vegetarian options, and catering for special dietary requirements
- Plan themed speciality evenings for guests
- Prepare packed lunches
- Provide a balanced menu for staff each day
- Control stock levels, ensure correct stock rotation, and prepare produce orders
- Assist other staff on changeover days
- Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager

Assistant Chef
Responsibilities
- Preparing food
- Cooking under supervision of head chef and alone
- Assisting head chef in maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen
- Deputising for head chef on days off
- Covering other kitchen staff on days off
- Assisting in other areas of the hotel on changeover days
- Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager

Responsibilities
- Oversee in-resort finance and administration associated with in-resort sales
- Be responsible for all money collected from guests in resort
- Ensure smooth running of group activities provided
- Set up and run an evening entertainments programme for adult guests and school groups
- Meet and greet guests on arrival at airport
- Organise welcome get-together in resort
- Ensure smooth transfer of clients to and from resort
- Deal with guest's queries and problems
- Provide information on resort amenities
- Drive company vehicles
- Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager
- Liaise with activity provider
In addition to the above the Chalet hosts will also be responsible for:
- Provide a friendly and efficient waiting service to adult guests
- Maintain rooms and public areas of the Chalet to a high standard of cleanliness each day
- Control stock of linen and cleaning equipment, and maintain clean and tidy storage areas
- Oversee restaurant service and maintain high standards of cleanliness in restaurant and service area
- Assist the manager in supervision of domestic staff, maintenance of high standards, and staff training

- Provide a friendly and efficient waiting service to adult guests and school parties
- Maintain rooms and public areas of the hotel and apartments to a high standard of cleanliness each day
- Control stock of linen and cleaning equipment, and maintain clean and tidy storage areas
- Oversee restaurant service and maintain high standards of cleanliness in restaurant and service area
- Assist the manager in supervision of domestic staff, maintenance of high standards, and staff training
- Cover for absent staff and for staff days off
- Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager

Responsibilities
- Run and maintain the bar in the hotel
- Be responsible for ordering, stocks and accountability for bar

- Assist head rep in setting up and running an evening entertainments programme for both adult guests and school groups

Kitchen Porter and Night Porter
Responsibilities
- Spend two weeks at a time in each position
- Take responsibility for all areas of the hotel at night
- Be responsible for fire safety at night
- Deal with clients late night requirements
- Clean public areas during the night, lay up restaurant for breakfast, and any other tasks required by the manager
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen and food storage areas
- Wash crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchen equipment, and maintain safe clean storage for these items
- Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager or head chef
