Assistant Chef
Responsibilities
- Preparing food
- Cooking under supervision of head chef and alone
- Assisting head chef in maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen
- Deputising for head chef on days off
- Covering other kitchen staff on days off
- Assisting in other areas of the hotel on changeover days
- Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager
Minimum requirements
- Honesty and integrity
- No criminal record
- Previous cooking experience, and enthusiasm for cooking
- Knowledge of health and food hygiene procedures
- Flexible
- Cheerful and outgoing
- Smart conventional appearance
- Positive team member
- Demonstrate initiative
- The employee will be required to provide:
One set of chef's whites - Contribution towards cost of uniform
